There are basically two kinds of members of staff in any office. We have the members of staff who are very interested in what kind of work they do and always give their hundred percent to the work they do. Then, we have members of staff who are not much interested in getting the work done by putting their hundred percent into that work. Usually, it is this second kind of members of staff we get to see in most of the workplaces. There are always workplaces which turn this kind of members of staff into those who always give their hundred percent to the work they do. All they do is using one of the best employee recognition programs within their company environment. There are a couple of reasons for some members of staff to not put their hundred percent to the work they do.
Not Being Appreciated for the Work They Do
The most seen reason for members of staff not showing an interest in the work they do is not being appreciated for the work they do. There are times when someone works very hard to achieve a certain company goal. However, that person is not even given proper thanks by the management or the co-workers. At such a situation, people get discouraged about working really hard.
Not Feeling as a Valuable Part of the Company
Whenever a company is not using employment engagement programs to keep everyone involved in the work and let them know they matter to the company, members of staff are going to feel they are not a valuable part of the company. This feeling makes them think whatever work they do is not actually very important to the company. So, they do not work hard to achieve company goals or even personal professional goals.
The Lack of Team Spirit
Any company where the members of staff are not bonded with a strong team spirit is going to be filled with members of staff who are not much interested in doing their work in the best possible manner. Great work is done wherever there is a high sense of team spirit.
Lack of Chances to Become Better ProfessionalsA work environment which does not provide good chances for members of staff to become better professionals is also not going to motivate them to do the best they can with the work assigned to them.
You can see members of staff not doing their work well at a number of companies due to these reasons.
